Triconex safety control system is adopted by the world’s largest LNG project to strengthen the intrinsic safety of the plant
May 13, 2025
Triconex, a subsidiary of Schneider Electric, recently announced that its Tricon CX safety control system has been successfully applied to one of the world’s largest LNG liquefied natural gas projects. With its triple redundant architecture and SIL3 certification standard, the system has become the core solution to ensure the safety of the project’s key processes.
The Tricon CX system deployed this time supports high compatibility with Emerson and Honeywell DCS systems, and has been integrated into the overall safety instrument system (SIS) on site to ensure real-time fault response and emergency shutdown functions in high-pressure and flammable environments.

Tricon CX: Focuses on process safety, adapts to emergency shutdown (ESD) and combustion control (BMS).
Honeywell Experion LS: Suitable for small and medium-sized plants, easy to deploy quickly and realize on-site linkage control.

With the continuous improvement of global industrial safety standards, Triconex solutions will be more widely used in chemical, energy, offshore platforms and other fields.
