Core Function of CONVERTER CONTROL BOARD

Executing core algorithm: As the main processor, it runs the patented direct torque control (DTC) algorithm of ABB. This algorithm is the "brain core" of the frequency converter, capable of directly and quickly controlling the flux and torque of the motor, thereby achieving extremely high dynamic response and control accuracy, allowing the motor to perform outstanding performance at any speed.

Processing and integrating signals: It receives and processes signals from the motor (such as encoder signals), the internal components of the frequency converter (current, voltage sensors), and external control instructions (such as start, stop, speed setting) in real time. Through rapid calculation and integration of these signals, it accurately determines the current system state and provides a basis for the next control.

Generating precise drive pulses: Based on the calculation results of the DTC algorithm, the control board generates precise pulse width modulation (PWM) signals. These signals are sent through high-speed, anti-interference interfaces such as optical fibers to the power unit, commanding IGBT and other power devices to precisely conduct and turn off, thereby regulating the voltage and frequency output to the motor and ultimately controlling the motor speed and torque.
