ABB SC520M is Submodule Carrier and used for ADVANT OCS/AC450/SC500 series.it is upgrade of SC520
The SC520M features a modular design consisting of a base module and a daughter module; the base module supports the insertion of MB300 or MB300E communication daughter modules to expand bus interface capabilities. Equipped with an onboard CPU, it handles field data processing, bus forwarding, and distributed control tasks, connecting directly to the Advant Master DCS system to facilitate distributed I/O and communication. Its marine-grade hardware—resistant to salt spray, high humidity, vibration, and shock—makes it suitable for use on ships and offshore platforms, as well as in the harsh operating environments of onshore petrochemical plants and power stations.
