IC694CHS398 features five I/O slots, one power supply slot (located at the far left), and an expansion communication port. It supports a maximum expansion cable length of 15 meters (50 feet); exceeding this limit is not permitted. It utilizes only a serial bus—not a PCI high-speed bus—and does not support hot-swapping.
It is compatible with IC695CPE series RX3i CPUs and 90-30 I/O modules; however, it cannot directly utilize 90-30 CPUs.
