IS215UCCCM04A Application Cases
Integrated Gas Generator Set Control
The main controller (UCPBM) executes the core firing line speed and load control algorithms. One or more IS215UCCCM04A modules are installed in the control cabinet and populated with a variety of specialized I/O modules.
Steam Turbine and Auxiliary System Control
The steam turbine subsystem is equipped with a dedicated control rack containing the main controller and multiple IS215UCCCM04A expansion bases. The I/O modules installed in these expansion bases process all steam turbine-related signals and aggregate the data to the main controller via the backplane, enabling independent control of the steam turbine and coordinated control with the gas turbine.
Safety Monitoring and Protection of Critical Processes
In a dedicated two-out-of-three (2oo3) redundant protection rack, the IS215UCCCM04A can serve as an expansion base for the protection controller. High-speed digital input modules are installed to receive speed signals from multiple magnetoresistive sensors.
Features
System scalability: This is the core feature of the IS215UCCCM04A. In a Mark VIe chassis, a single main controller can be paired with multiple auxiliary chassis modules like the IS215UCCCM04A, multiplying the number of I/O modules supported by the system. This expansion allows the system to meet the needs of complex control of large numbers of signals, such as temperature, pressure, vibration, and valve control.
Backplane Communication and Power Distribution: The IS215UCCCM04A integrates a high-speed PCIe backplane bus, ensuring high-speed, deterministic data exchange between the main controller and all connected I/O modules. It also provides stable DC power to all installed submodules.
Hot-swap support: Under specific designs and authorizations, this allows technicians to replace faulty I/O modules in the UCCCM chassis, improving maintenance, reducing downtime, and increasing work efficiency.
