Main application scope
Electric power industry: Steam turbine control and boiler regulation in power plants (especially for units using ABB PROCONTROL P14/P13 control systems) - Precisely controlling valve opening, actuator position, etc., to ensure stable operation of the power generation units.
Process industry: Continuous production process control in sectors such as chemicals, petroleum, metallurgy, and water treatment - Precisely regulating key process parameters such as flow, pressure, temperature, and liquid level to ensure product quality and production safety.
Warning: when use ABB 81AA03A-E
This module is compatible exclusively with the Procontrol P14 rack and cannot be used with other systems, such as ABB 800xA or AC800M. The 4–20 mA loops must be shielded and grounded; under no circumstances should they be routed within the same cable tray as power cables.
If a module is replaced in the field, the configuration must be re-downloaded and the channels recalibrated; the new module cannot be simply swapped in for immediate use. For long-term operation, periodic inspections are mandatory to check for issues such as terminal overheating, loose wiring, or channel drift.
Equipment drive control: Control of motors, frequency converters, actuators, and regulating valves in various industrial sites - By outputting analog signals (such as 4-20mA), to control the speed of the motor, the opening degree of the valve, and achieve precise and continuous regulation of the controlled object.
