1. Acquiring analog signals, such as generator terminal voltage, stator current, and excitation current.
2. Executing Automatic Voltage Regulation (AVR) and PID-based excitation control logic.
3. Generating pulse-drive signals for the excitation power unit.
4. Managing internal excitation bus communication, fault detection, protection logic, and the transmission of alarms to the Distributed Control System (DCS).

The board follows the standard Eurocard form factor (6U height) and utilizes a DIN 41612 connector.
