ABB DO801 Usage Precautions
General Safety Standards
Emergency Stop: Identify the location of the emergency stop button on the device and press it immediately in an emergency.
Safety Distance: When debugging and operating the robot system, always maintain a safe distance from moving parts.
Power-off Operation: Always turn off the main power before performing installation, repair, maintenance, or touching wiring. Also, shut off the air supply before inspecting the pneumatic system.
Static Electricity Protection: Wear an anti-static wrist strap when handling sensitive electronic components to prevent damage from electrostatic discharge (ESD).
Fire Prevention: If a fire occurs in electrical equipment (such as the robot control cabinet), use a carbon dioxide fire extinguisher; never use water or foam.
Module Installation and Configuration
Correct Configuration: ABB robots can be configured with up to 40 I/O boards. All I/O boards and signal names must be unique and no duplication is allowed.
Signal Hold: When configuring digital output signals (DO/GO), pay attention to the "System Failure and Power Fail" option. If set to "YES," the output will retain its previous value after a hot restart; if set to "NO," the output signal will return to zero. System restart: After completing the I/O configuration related to the system parameters, you must hot-start the robot for the changes to take effect.
