VIBRO METER(Meggitt) CA280 is Piezoelectric Accelerometer, Designed for long-term, continuous vibration monitoring of equipment such as gas turbines, compressors, and gearboxes operating in high-temperature, explosion-hazard environments; supports SIL2 measurement chain applications.
CA280, it is a charge-output type device that must be paired with an external charge amplifier/signal conditioner (such as those in the IPC707 or IPC70x series). It cannot be connected directly to systems like DCS, TDC3000, or Triconex; a conditioning module is required to convert the pC (picocoulomb) charge signal into a 4–20 mA or voltage signal.
The CA280 series features various part numbers, each corresponding to specific product variations.
Examples:
144-280-000-016: Bare sensor unit (no integrated cable), equipped with a CG505 connector; requires an external EC119 low-noise cable assembly.
