Its core function is to acquire and process high-precision thermocouple signals. It features 1000V channel isolation, a common-mode rejection ratio of 120dB@60Hz, and 130V RMS overvoltage protection. It employs a 13-bit A/D converter (12 bits plus a sign bit). An onboard 16-bit microcontroller provides self-testing, nonlinearity correction, and non-volatile storage of calibration data. Temperature data is provided via VMEbus (A16/D16) communication with an industrial control host.
