AFPS-01 is a dedicated switching power supply board for the cooling fans of ACS800 high-power multi-drive frequency converters. It accepts a single-phase AC input of 170–264V (50/60Hz) and provides a DC 24V output with a maximum current of 3A (72W) to power the cooling fans. It features self-protection mechanisms against short-circuit, overload, overvoltage, and overheating conditions, utilizes natural cooling, and operates within a temperature range of -20°C to +70°C.

It is widely used in ACS800-104 high-power power modules (large frame sizes such as R7 and R8) and cabinet-style multi-drive frequency converters; it is not used in the low-power ACS800-01 model.

The associated main control I/O board serves as the core control unit for the entire system and handles DDCS fiber-optic communication.

Although this product is not the most critical component in the overall system, a malfunction can still disrupt on-site factory production processes. Typical failure symptoms include:

1. The variable frequency drive (VFD) reports a fan fault or trips due to overheating; the cooling fan fails to spin entirely.
2. The fan operates intermittently, and the 24V output voltage is unstable.
3. No 24V output upon power-up; the board fuse is blown.
4. The system triggers a protective shutdown as soon as the fan load is connected.
