YPI103E is a discrete signal acquisition module for the Symphony system. It acquires 16 channels of 24VDC digital input (DI) signals and communicates with the Symphony controller bus to transmit the acquired DI data to the controller in real-time for use in logic operations, interlocks, alarms, and Sequence of Events (SOE) recording. It provides electrical isolation between the channels and the system I/O bus to suppress field interference, prevent ground loops, and protect the controller backplane. Each channel features an independent LED indicator for visual monitoring of the ON/OFF status of field signals, facilitating on-site wiring checks. Built-in hardware signal filtering suppresses contact bounce and pulse interference common in industrial environments, preventing erroneous data acquisition. Current configuration is selectable to accommodate various types of field switch sensors.
