RB520 is part of the MasterBus 300E rack system and is designed to fit into the sub-module slots on the carrier cards of AC410/AC450/AC510/AC550 controllers.

Key Functions:

1. Fills unused sub-module slots on the controller carrier card, preventing the entry of dust and foreign objects.
2. Maintains the integrity of the cabinet's airflow path, preventing short-circuiting of the cooling airflow.
3. Preserves the EMC shielding integrity of the backplane, preventing interference caused by empty slots.
4. Reserves space for future expansion; if communication sub-cards (such as CI520 or CS513) need to be installed later, the RB520 can simply be removed and replaced.

On-site Installation Steps:

First, turn off the power supply unit for the controller rack, verify that the rack is completely powered down, and wear an anti-static wrist strap.

Next, verify the model and inspect the RB520 module for cracks. Hold the module by the top and bottom handles with both hands, align it with the slot guides, and slowly and evenly push it into the rack until the rear connector fully engages with the backplane slot and the module faceplate sits flush against the carrier card faceplate. Then, press the locking latch inward; a "click" sound indicates the module is mechanically locked in place, secure against wobbling or loosening. Finally, after installing all filler modules, ensure that all RB520 faceplates are flush and all latches are securely fastened, with no modules tilted or only partially inserted. Check the rack interior to ensure no screws or debris remain. Once all details have been verified, close the unit cover, restore power to the controller rack, and power up the system.
