How to use IO Pack and terminal board

Insert the I/O Pack module directly into the corresponding DC-37 pin connector on the IS400TRLYS1B board.

Simplex mode: Use JA1 connector.

Three-Module Redundancy (TMR) mode: All three connectors, JR1, JS1, and JT1, must be used simultaneously, corresponding to three redundant I/O Packs respectively.

External wiring: Clear wiring points are provided on the terminal board.

Relay output: Connected to an I/O connector panel with two 24-pin terminals, capable of accommodating #12 AWG cables.

Power Supply:

To supply power for output 1-6: Connect to JF1 or cascade power supply through JF2; or directly connect to TB3.

Supply power for special output 12: Connect to JG1

Configuration of jumper wires and modes

Output configuration: There are 12 relays on the board. Outputs 1 to 6 can be flexibly configured through jumper wires JP1 to JP6.

Dry contact output: As an inductive contact, it can switch between external AC or DC signals.

Electromagnetic valve drive: After installing the jumper wires, it can provide power to the on-site electromagnetic valve and protect the system using the onboard fuse and suppression circuit.

Working mode: Supports two working modes: simplex and three-mode redundancy (TMR). It is a core component for building highly reliable security systems.

How do the two interact and influence each other?

Terminal Board (IS400TRLYS1B): As the physical interface between field devices (such as solenoid valves, pumps, alarms) and the control system. It receives low-voltage control signals from the I/O Pack, uses the relays on it for electrical isolation and power amplification, and drives external loads. It is mainly responsible for wiring and signal conversion.

I/O Pack Module: This is the intelligent core of the system, responsible for executing control logic and communication. It does not directly connect to the field devices; instead, it is directly plugged into the terminal board through the connectors on the terminal board, forming a tightly integrated physical and electrical whole.

Interaction process:

The instructions of the control system are first received and processed by the I/O Pack module.

The I/O Pack module transmits the instructions through its bottom interface to the plugged-in IS400TRLYS1B terminal board.

The relays on the terminal board perform switching actions according to the instructions, thereby connecting or disconnecting the power supply of the external devices connected to its terminals, achieving the control of the on-site equipment.
