Working principle
Role Definition
As the ESB bus master on the FCU side, it manages the I/O node units on the bus, undertaking media access control, data frame forwarding, and node scheduling.
Data Interaction Flow
Downlink: Receives control commands/configurations from the FCU, encapsulates them into ESB bus frames, and sends them to designated I/O nodes according to the scheduling sequence, ensuring real-time performance and determinism.
Uplink: Collects I/O data/status from each node, verifies it, and summarizes it back to the FCU, supporting batch and burst data transmission.
Protocol Adaptation
Completes the conversion between the FCU's internal bus protocol and the ESB bus protocol, shielding underlying differences and achieving transparent communication.
Redundancy and Reliability
In dual-module redundancy configuration, the primary and backup modules synchronize their status in real time, and switch over in milliseconds during failures, ensuring uninterrupted bus operation; it also features frame verification, error retransmission, and online node diagnostics, improving link robustness.
Node Management: Through address allocation, heartbeat detection, and conflict avoidance mechanisms, manage the access, communication, and offline alarms of up to 13 nodes, adapting to distributed I/O expansion scenarios.
