ABB XVC768AE101 3BHB007211R0101 is Current Monitor Board, used for ACS5000/ACS6000 frequency converter.
ABB XVC768AE101 is the core current monitoring and protection board for high-voltage frequency converters. Engineers must strictly follow the manual during operation, which can be summarized into three points:
Electrostatic discharge prevention, power-off operation, and correct wiring.
Power supply matching, reliable sampling, and good grounding.
Parameter matching, protection testing, and regular maintenance.
Detailed technical parameters are listed below:
Power supply: 24V DC or 230V AC
Power consumption: Approximately 4W
Communication interface: RS-485 (communication with the main control unit)
Operating temperature: -20℃ ~ +70℃
Operating humidity: ≤95% (non-condensing)
Protection rating: IP20
Compatible systems: ABB high-voltage frequency converters ACS6000/ACS5000, etc.

Installation and Usage Steps
Before installing the board, engineers should conduct a comprehensive inspection to ensure that the board card has no physical damage, the pins are intact, and there is no oxidation or corrosion. Verify whether the model is correct and whether it matches the frequency converter.
Prepare an anti-static wristband or anti-static pad to ensure all operations are anti-static.
Next is the installation and wiring
Cut off the main power supply of the frequency converter and wait for 10 to 15 minutes until the bus is discharged (until the indicator light goes out).
Align the board card with the corresponding slot in the chassis (usually marked as XVC768 or Current Monitor), push it in smoothly, and lock the fixing screws.
The most crucial step is the signal wiring
Connect the secondary side signal of the current transformer (CT) from the power unit of the frequency converter (mostly 0-5A or 0-1A range).
Connect 24V DC or 230V AC according to the system requirements, strictly distinguishing polarity and phase sequence.
Connect the RS-485 bus to the main control board, and ground the shield layer at one end.
The grounding terminal of the board card must be reliably connected to the ground of the frequency converter cabinet.
After installation is completed, it is time to power on and debug
Do not connect the motor or load first, supply control power.
Wait for the power indicator light of the board card to stay on steadily, without flickering or going out. There should be no alarms such as "Board Fault" or "Current Feedback Loss" on the frequency converter control panel before proceeding with parameter verification.
After all is confirmed to be error-free, the installation steps are officially completed, and you can enter the normal use stage.
