Bently Nevada 3300/03 Core Function and Roles
System Status Monitoring and Coordination: It continuously monitors the supply voltage and operational status of all modules within the framework. When all voltages are normal, the green “SUPPLIES OK” LED on the panel illuminates, indicating healthy system power supply.
Power-Up Safety Suppression: During system startup or voltage instability, this module automatically suppresses all monitor alarm outputs for approximately 2 seconds. This prevents false shutdown signals triggered by signal fluctuations during machine startup/shutdown, ensuring smooth initiation.
Framework Suppression: When activated via an external contact, this function bypasses all monitor alarm outputs and deactivates the “System Normal” relay. This is typically used during maintenance or testing scenarios requiring system silence.
System Reset: The entire system can be reset via the front panel button or an external contact command.
Trip Multiplier: This is a critical safety feature. During special operating conditions, such as when the machine passes critical rotational speeds, this function temporarily increases the alarm and hazard setpoints (e.g., by 2x or 3x) for all supported monitoring modules. This prevents unnecessary shutdowns caused by normal process vibrations.
