GE IS200WREAH1A is AERO TRIP TB DBRD, installed into IS210TREAS1A and combined with IS200TREAH1A used for IS220PPRAH1A
IS210TREAS1A itself is the Emergency Trip Board of the gas turbine. IS200WREAH1A is plugged on top of it, providing 4 additional 24V DC dry contact trip inputs, which is a very important condition trip signal indication.
This card is used to connect external safety interlocks and shutdown signals, expand the safety protection logic of the main card, and participate in the trip output voting of the triple modular redundancy (TMR) system.
During operation, the 3 solid-state outputs of the main card (TREAS1A) need to be combined with WREAH1A and obtain a 24V DC valid level to execute system trips. It has a DB connector and an independent relay circuit to achieve electrical isolation between external signals and the main control system. It also provides an additional JH1 interface to supply wetting power for external contacts and monitor the trip circuit voltage.
It supports 24–125V DC trip series voltage detection and monitor the status of the safety circuit.
It can be simply summarized into three major functions:

How to impact of using it alone (without a card / without installation) on IS210TREAS1A
IS210TREAS1A and IS200WREAH1A are an integrated unit. If IS200WREAH1A is not installed, the system will lose 4 additional trip inputs, be unable to connect external interlocks, and receive a shutdown signal. The protection function will be weakened.
Also, the TMR trip circuit will be incomplete.
At this point, Mark VIe detects the absence of the sub-card and the system will report a hardware fault (such as WREA Missing) and shut down or prohibit startup.
However, another situation can occur, that is, in most configurations, the controller will prohibit the unit from starting / force the shutdown. Although IS200WREAH1A is so important, it still does not affect the basic functions of the main card. However, this is only applicable to limited scenarios.
If the program does not configure the WREAH1A channel and redundancy is allowed, the main card retains the basic 6 input and 3 output trip function. However, in industrial sites, it is almost impossible to operate without a card because there are strict requirements for safety compliance and protection integrity. Therefore, engineers will not take risks. Otherwise, very serious consequences will occur, causing users to suffer huge losses. This is a result that no one wants to see.
Once again, IS200WREAH1A = IS210TREAS1A is the mandatory safety expansion sub-card. Both cannot be used separately.
