NGPS-13C is an internal power board designed exclusively for ACS600 high-power units with frame sizes R12i and above.

The NGPS series consists of auxiliary power supply boards for gate drivers, specifically designed for ACS600 multi-drive IGBT power units. Different models correspond to specific power frames, hardware versions, and output capabilities; they are not freely interchangeable. Downgrade replacements are permitted only when specified in the technical drawings, and the drive unit's schematics must be verified.

Compared to the NGPS-11 or NGPS-12, the NGPS-13C offers significant advantages, the most critical being a substantial increase in output power.

While the NGPS-11 and NGPS-12 deliver 35W and 60W respectively, the NGPS-13C reaches 120W. It is capable of simultaneously driving multiple IGBT gate drive circuits and is compatible with high-power units (R12i and above). In contrast, the older NGPS-11/12 models suffer from insufficient power margin under heavy-load, high-current IGBT operating conditions; this can lead to voltage drops in the drive power supply, drive fault alarms, and IGBT damage caused by false triggering.

The NGPS-13C also introduces a PWR-FAIL (power failure detection) signal—a key functional upgrade. This independent signal immediately notifies the unit control board of any power anomaly, triggering an immediate unit trip and inhibiting startup to protect the IGBT power devices proactively. This prevents damage to power modules caused by continued operation during a fault and significantly reduces the risk of catastrophic power unit failure (often referred to as "blowing up").

Hardware and manufacturing processes have also been optimized with the addition of a protective coating that offers resistance to moisture, salt spray, and corrosion. This makes the unit suitable for harsh industrial environments—such as steel mills, power plants, and chemical facilities—characterized by humidity, dust, and corrosive elements. Although the NGPS-12C also features a protective coating, it lacks the necessary power output.

Finally, official specifications indicate that the NGPS-13C can serve as a replacement spare part for the NGPS-11 and NGPS-12 (though specific unit schematics should always be verified). However, the NGPS-11 or NGPS-12 cannot be used to replace the NGPS-13C; their insufficient power margin would lead to serious system failures.
